2025.2.13

LONGi has retained its AAA rating in PV-Tech’s Q4 2024 PV ModuleTech bankability ratings. This marks the company’s 20th consecutive quarter with the highest rating, reflecting its consistent performance in several key areas, including:

  • Value chain strength
  • Production capacity
  • Global shipments
  • Capital expenditure
  • Research and development investment
  • Cash-flow management

The PV ModuleTech bankability ratings assess solar module manufacturers on their financial health and product reliability. The highest AAA rating indicates superior bankability and strong market performance.

Strong technology outlook following global launch of second generation back contact technology HPBC 2.0

The results underpin LONGi's continued R&D efforts to provide a solid product base for the year 2025. In Q1 2025, LONGi launched the Hi-MO X10 module for the European residential and C&I markets following a global rollout in late 2024. The module deploys the self-developed HPBC 2.0 back contact technology delivering up to 670W of power and a conversion efficiency of 24.8%. The module uses LONGi's proprietary HPBC 2.0 back contact technology to deliver up to 670W of power and 24.8% conversion efficiency. The module also sets new benchmarks for reliability with shading optimiser technology that reduces power loss by 70% compared to TOPcon modules, a zero busbar (0BB) structure and a multi-layer design for increased performance. Compared to mainstream TOPCon modules, the Hi-MO X10 delivers up to 30W more power in the same conditions. LONGi plans to have 50GW of HPBC 2.0 module production capacity by the end of 2025.

For the Utility sector and also using HPBC 2.0, LONGi introduced the Hi-MO 9 module in 2024. The module offers up to 660W of power and a conversion efficiency of 24.43%.

One of the first HPBC 2.0 projects is a 500MW photovoltaic power plant project in Inner Mongolia, China, for which LONGi has been awarded the contract.
