LONGi Solar has been a main supplier to the Solar Trade portfolio, supplying more than 2 GW of high-quality LONGi Solar modules since 2018. Solar Trade has supplied its installation partners as well as several major projects both offline and online through its network of webshops worldwide. The new supply agreement enables Solar Trade’s customers to realize their residential, commercial and industrial (C&I) scale projects with industry-leading products from LONGi Solar.

The agreement gives BayWa r.e. Solar Trade access to LONGi’s entire product portfolio according to the needs of its customers. Among the product range is LONGi’s Hi-MO X6 Max back contact series setting new design and technology standards in the DG market with a maximum module efficiency of 23.3 percent enabled by its HPBC technology (Hybrid Passivated Back-Contact Cell). This includes the new premium product Hi-MO X6 Artist Ultra Black, the Hi-MO X6 Max Explorer as well as the Hi-MO X6 Max Guardian Anti-Dust with TaiRay Inside technology.

During the signing ceremony, Clifford Chen, LONGi’s President of Europe Business Center, said: “We are proud and delighted to continue this long-standing partnership with BayWa r.e. Solar Trade. This is a testament to the mutual trust and reliable cooperation we have enjoyed over the years, and we are very grateful. As back contact technology becomes increasingly important for both industrial and end users, we have continuously improved the technology and developed products that meet the diverse requirements of BayWa r.e. Solar Trade's customers.”

Frank Jessel, CEO of BayWa r.e. Solar Trade Holding added: “I recognized the potential of LONGi back in 2017 and we’ve signed our first framework agreement in 2018. Since then, we have enjoyed the strong support of LONGi Solar, excellent relationships up to the most senior level and have supplied our customers, from the smallest installers to C&I projects in excess of 180 MW. By signing this framework in 2024, we look forward to a continued partnership and success with LONGi Solar.”
