PV ModuleTech Bankability Ratings: LONGi maintains AAA status in Q4 2023

2024.1.25

LONGi has maintained its top AAA rating in PV Tech’s Q4 2023 PV ModuleTech Bankability Ratings, underlining the company’s sustained excellence in both performance and financial stability. LONGi's 16th consecutive AAA rating serves as testament to the widespread trust placed in the company's overall strength by international financial markets, third-party institutions and the photovoltaic industry at large.

LONGi currently holds two cell efficiency world records

As a world-leading solar technology company, LONGi has a long-term focus on customer value and is dedicated to technology innovation. It now holds two cell efficiency records: 33.9% for the efficiency of crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells, and 27.09% for the efficiency of crystalline silicon heterojunction back-contact (HBC) solar cells. Therewith, LONGi is the efficiency leader for the next generation PV technologies.

The Hi-MO X6 back contact module series leads LONGi’s business into 2024

The Hi-MO X6 is based on high-efficiency in-house developed HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) cell technology. Featuring a frontal busbar-free design, the Hi-MO X6 design maximizes utilization of incident light, reduces optical losses, enhances conversion efficiency and consequently optimizes the Levelized Costs of Electricity (LCOE). The standard version of the HPBC cell has achieved an efficiency of 25.5%, while HPBC+ cell efficiency exceeds 25.8%. Based upon this back contact technology, Hi-MO X6 shows a 6% to 10% improvement in power generation performance compared to traditional modules. With a maximum module efficiency of 23.3%, the product sets a new value benchmark for the global distributed market. The Hi-MO X6 is also very durable and reliable due to its back contact one-line soldering structure that effectively improves the resistance to micro cracking. Its HPBC cell borders must endure a pressure of only 26 MPa while conventional cells are put to a stress of 50 MPa. This significantly increases both its resistance to physical stress and its long-term reliability. As a result, the module has a sustained power output performance of 88.9 % after 25 years.
