LONGi will continue to contribute to the renewable energy target in Malaysia

LONGi Solar is honored to sponsor the MPIA National Solar Roadshow Malaysia which kicked off in Penang today. 

In an opening address, LONGi presented its high efficiency mono module Hi-MO 3 and the potential of PV applications, working together with MPIA. 

SEDA reported that the Minister of ESTECC, YB Puan Yeo Bee Yin, has stated that harnessing rooftops to generate solar power has a huge potential in the country. A new roadmap , called the RETR2035, is being developed to reach the government’s renewable energy (RE) target of 20% in the national power mix by 2025.

LONGi has a fully integrated PV value chain located in Kuching, Malaysia. At the end of 2018 capacity is 300MW ingots and 1GW wafers, 500MW cells and 500MW modules. On February 23rd, LONGi also announced a new 1GW mono cells factory in Kuching, Malaysia, which will cost RMB 0.84billion and will reach full operational capacity in September 2019.

LONGi will continue to contribute to the economy in Malaysia and the realization of its RE target.
