LONGi and Solar Frontier Form a Strategic Technical Partnership to Advance the BIPV Market in Japan

Xi’an, 26th October 2023 – LONGi Solar, a leading global solar technology company, and Solar Frontier, a Japanese photovoltaic company, are teaming up to bring their expertise to the Japanese solar market. LONGi is known for its advanced PV module technology, including the Hi-MO X6 series, while Solar Frontier has a strong track record in technology development and installation. The official signing of the agreement happened this week at the LONGi headquarters in Xi’an, China, during a visit of senior management team of Solar Frontier. LONGi and Solar Frontier are looking to tap into new and emerging markets, such as Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). This partnership will be key in making Japan's energy sources more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

“Owing to the substantial quantity of rooftop and facade space available for BIPV installations on public, commercial, and industrial buildings. We believe that BIPV development in Japan has a bright future, and we are grateful and honored that Solar Frontier believes in LONGi.”, said Charles Jiang, Vice President of DG Business Group at LONGi.
