Mie, Japan, November 3rd, 2023 - LONGi has announced that its latest Hi-MO X6 modules, designed specifically for the DG market, have been installed and utilized in the Japanese market for the first time. The installation took place at the premises of recycling company Sanko, in Tsu City, Mie, Japan, a total of 260 panels, with a combined capacity of 109.2kW, deployed on the rooftop of one of its recycling centres, meeting approximately 43% of the facility's electricity needs while simultaneously reducing its carbon footprint.

In light of Japan's efforts to achieve sustainability goals and a carbon-neutral society, SANKO has been actively engaged in various recycling businesses since its establishment in 1970. Especially since 1995, the company has pioneered a recycling cycle system that utilizes food waste to produce compost, which is then used for crop cultivation. The harvested crops are subsequently sold to supermarkets, restaurants, and other enterprises. As a comprehensive recycling company, SANKO also takes into account the frequent occurrence of natural disasters and rising electricity prices, which led to their decision to introduce solar power generation as part of their internal power generation considerations. Following the implementation of this solar system, the company noticed an immediate improvement in its image, an enhanced level of trust with suppliers, and increased awareness among its employees.

When considering a solar power generation system, SANKO received proposals from EPC KYOSHINKOUKEN and was impressed by the outstanding power output, reliability, and aesthetically appealing design of LONGi's Hi-MO X6, leading them to choose this system over other competitors' products.

Based on high-efficiency HPBC cell technology, featuring a frontal busbar-free design, the product maximizes utilization of incident light, reduces optical losses, enhances conversion efficiency and consequently optimizes LCOE. The standard version of the HPBC cell has achieved an efficiency breakthrough of 25.5%, while HPBC+ cell efficiency exceeds 25.8%. Equipped with this cutting-edge technology, Hi-MO X6 shows a 6%-10% improvement in power generation performance compared to traditional modules and, with a maximum efficiency of 23.3%, the product sets a new value benchmark for the global distributed market.

Moving forward, LONGi remains committed to continuous technological and product innovations, providing more efficient renewable energy solutions for various industries, and leading the way toward a low-carbon and sustainable future for humanity.
