LONGi Solar becomes the largest Chinese module supplier in Ukraine

Global News

According to the latest export data of China Customs, China became the biggest supplier of photovoltaic modules to Ukraine in 2018, with total export volume over 1.7GW. LONGi Solar topped the list of 80 Chinese photovoltaic enterprises with an export volume of 284.70MW. Of the total export volume of all Chinese module enterprises, LONGi Solar accounted for 16.75%, winning wide recognition of the Ukrainian photovoltaic market with high-efficiency monocrystalline module products.

LONGi Solar has placed great importance on the Ukrainian market, which has annual solar radiation up to 800-1450 W/m², very rich in solar energy and suitable for the construction of PV power stations. Since entering the Eastern European market, LONGi Solars PERC modules, which can generate more power under the same area and achieve lower LCOE, have been the hit products in the market. At the beginning of 2019, CPVT in China tested LONGi ’s mono bifacial PERC cells, setting a new solar cell world record conversion of 24.06%. This is the first time that the efficiency of mono PERC solar cells in commercial dimensions has exceeded 24 percent.

By virtue of the advantages of monocrystalline modules and the continuous development of PERC technology, LONGi Solar has won the favor of many local cooperators and established a long-term good relationship with them. LONGi Solar not only provides high-efficiency PERC mono modules, which can meet a variety of customer requirements, but also provides whole-process technical guidance and after-sales services.

Yang Wenbo, EMEA Sales Director of LONGi Solar, said: “with the continuous development of technology, solar photovoltaic as a new energy source will gradually reach grid parity. The demand from emerging markets is increasing. On the one hand, we are very grateful to local customers and partners in Ukraine for their recognition and trust in LONGi; on the other hand, as a global photovoltaic enterprise that has maintained stable development, LONGi is confident that rising technologies and reliable products will boost the widespread use of clean energy in Eastern Europe.”
