As a specially invited participant of the event, LONGi Solar demonstrated market competitive monocrystalline PERC module products to the professional audience, including the newly developed double-glazed Hi-MO2 module, which immediately attracted a lot of attention with its novel appearance and efficient power generation characteristics. Dr. Fang Hongbin, LONGi Solar’s Senior Manager of Overseas Technology Promotion, introduced monocrystalline PERC cell’s high energy density and low energy degradation advantages over other cell technologies that could bring users more energy yield while reducing the LCOE of PV power station construction. LONGi Solar’s products with these outstanding advantages were highly acclaimed by the audience in a harmonious atmosphere.

As a newly emerging PV market, Mexico is one of the most potential markets in Central and South America. In recent years, as the prices of PV products have fallen, plus the growing demand, Mexico and Brazil have become new GW-class markets. In 2017, nearly half of the PV power stations of Latin America were installed in Mexico, while the entire Latin American market has been growing exponentially. In 2016-2021, the PV demand is expected to be 41GW, and the annual installed capacity will be more than doubled. By 2020, Latin America will account for 10% of global PV demand.

In recent years, LONGi Solar has gradually shifted the focus of market development from domestic to overseas. In addition to the traditional high-quality markets in Japan, India and Southeast Asia, where the development momentum is robust, the emerging markets with development potential are also the focus of the company. In the future, the company will pay more attention and support to the new markets with development potential such as Mexico. At current stage, the company will increase the brand awareness of LONGi Solar through various types of market activities, vigorously promote the unique advantages of monocrystalline PERC products to these markets, and shift the attention of customers to high-quality monocrystalline products with high yield, high stability and lower overall costs. This is a win-win solution that can both bring value-added benefits to customers and create brand reputation for the company. Let us look forward to LONGi Solar’s future exploration performance in the Latin American market!
