It is the sixth PV 3.0 launch event following Las Vegas, New Delhi, London, Osaka and Tokyo.

Vietnam is presenting huge potential of solar energy which is about 850MW before 2020 as stated by local authority. Investigation reports conducted in Vietnam stated that an average irradiation in Vietnam is about 5.9kWh/m2/day in Middle and South Provinces. With the first Government's supporting regime for solar power projects officially approved in this April, the market is booming; investors and developers are rushing to get the FiT of US cents 9.35 per kWh with the requirement of reaching COD before June 2019.
