On December 6, Australia Solar + Energy Storage Congress & Expo 2017, hosted by Leader Associates and sponsored by over 20 associations and institutions including Chinese Association for Renewable Energy (CARE), Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), and Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), successfully came to an end. The Congress & Expo attracted more than 300 participants from over 30 countries including China, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea and Japan. A number of well-known global solar and energy storage companies attended, including GE, ABB, SMA, Enel, and Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy Group Limited.

As the largest monocrystalline module supplier in the world, LONGi Solar attended the Congress & Expo. Dr. Hongbin Fang, Technology and Marketing Director of the company, delivered a keynote speech titled “PV3.0 and LONGi Solar’s Efficient Monocrystalline Technology Advantages”. Dr. Fang says, “With the release of 300W+ efficient module products represented by PERC technology, the photovoltaic industry has entered the 3.0 era. The high-efficiency, high-reliability and high-energy yield products have become the market demand, and the bifacial modules with remarkable power generation performance can increase the energy yield by 10-25%.” The investors at the Congress & Expo showed great interests in LONGi Solar’s high-efficient monocrystalline products, and asked many questions especially about the bifacial products.

Australia is a key market for the global PV industry, with an average annual installed capacity above 1GW. According to Australia's Renewable Energy Target (RET), at least 20% of Australia's electricity will come from renewable sources by 2020. The gradual withdrawal of traditional energy sources such as coal will accelerate the replacement with clean energy such as solar power. In particular, the cost reduction of PV systems and energy storage will speed up the development of large-scale power stations and civilian PV power stations in Australia.

The Congress & Expo is the eighth leg of LONGi Solar’s global journey. In 2018, LONGi Solar will continue to focus on technology, bring PV3.0 to more countries and cities, promote the global application of efficient monocrystalline module products, and provide customers and industries with the most efficient and cost-effective product solutions.
