Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and with the support of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) and The International Finance Corporation (IFC) successfully organized 2025 Asia-Pacific WEPs Forum: Business. Innovation. Impact, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.The Forum connected more than 200 leaders from business, policy and innovation across the region to share how business innovation accelerates economic growth in an inclusive and sustainable way.

Ms. Ma Meng, General Manager of the Emerging Markets Region at the Southeast Asia Representative Office, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a speech on "Empowering Women, Transforming Workplaces in the Energy Industry." In her speech, Ms. Ma mentioned that women currently account for 25% of LONGi's workforce, with the proportion of female managers increasing for three consecutive years. LONGi is committed to create a kind, positive environment that respects individual differences, promotes equal opportunities, and encourages open communication for all employees. In 2024, LONGi released its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policy, aiming to ensure equal treatment in terms of recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, promotion, and other aspects for employees at the policy level.
Meanwhile, LONGi provides tangible actions to support female employees. LONGi has rest rooms for pregnant women and baby-care rooms in plant areas with more than 100 female employees, and provide them with child-bearing leave, prenatal check-up leave, and breastfeeding leave.
Ms. Ma Meng addressed in her speech that beyond policies,LONGi focuses on culture. LONGi signed WEPs reinforcing commitment to gender equality from the top down, with strong support from our senior leadership.For employees, Every year, LONGi encourage colleagues to take the Target Gender Accelerator course, and has community groups to share ideas about inclusion.

As the only representative from a Chinese solar industry at the conference, Ms. Ma Meng stated, "We believe women are a pivotal force in driving the clean energy transition across the Asia-Pacific region. When we empower women, we are not only building a more equitable society but also constructing a stronger and more resilient energy future."
