On November 14, ANDREC Week kicked off in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. LONGi Solar as a world leading manufacturer of high-efficiency mono-crystalline cells and modules participated in the event and was invited to deliver a speech at the main forum.

ANDREC Week covers more than four American new energy markets and convenes the experts and scholars in the field of new energy from all over the world. It formed more than 150 business connections and received extensive attention both inside and outside the industry. LONGi Solar as a gold sponsor of this event brought a “brainstorm” on PV3.0 to the audience of the forum.

Dr. Hongbin Fang, Technology and Marketing Director of LONGi Solar, delivered a keynote speech titled “PV3.0 and the benefits of LONGi Solar’s cutting edge Mono Technology”. By introducing the high-efficiency, high-reliability and high-yield product advantages resulted from LONGi Solar’s monocrystalline technology route, Dr. Fang successfully interpreted the remarkable contribution of PV 3.0 to the scientific and technological creativity in the field of green energy.

The concept of PV3.0 immediately attracted the attention of local industry media and authoritative experts, which has demonstrated the great influence of LONGi’s high-quality efficient products on the global PV industry, and also represented the desire of the entire new energy industry to the most advanced cutting-edge technologies, and marked the advent of a new era for the use of solar power!

Colombia is located in the equatorial region, with sufficient sunlight resources, but only less than 3% of its electricity comes from solar power.

In order to encourage private investment in and use of renewable energy, the Colombian government enacted Law 1715 in 2014: The investment in renewable energy can enjoy preferential policies on taxes including the income tax, import tariff and VAT relief.

In this March, the Colombian government introduced policies to support the construction of small and medium-sized renewable energy and solar power facilities in the country.

On November 3, Germán Arce Zapata, Colombian Minister of Mines and Energy, announced that the first auction of large-scale solar, wind and biomass projects in Colombia will be held prior to the next presidential election in next May.

“Based in China, Radiating the Global Market" has always been LONGi’s strategic guideline. With the implementation of China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative, LONGi has also ushered in many international opportunities: the project in Malaysia has realized production; the 500MW cell and module project in India has progressed smoothly. In addition to the countries along the “Belt and Road”, LONGi Solar has upheld the parent company’s strategic development guideline, and accelerated the extensive deployment in overseas markets.

During ANDREC Week, the leading technologies and high quality of LONGi Solar’s monocrystalline products have attracted the attention and enquiry from many exhibitors and visitors. The event is the second stop of PV3.0 in South America, after Argentina. In the future, LONGi Solar will seize and create more opportunities to introduce high-efficiency and high-quality products and technologies to the South American market, and join hands with local partners to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the PV industry in South America and the world, and contribute to the green revolution of the global energy industry.
