Jiaxing, 2nd of August 2025 – On August 2, during the 2025 BC (Back Contact) Eco-Innovation Summit in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, LONGi and industry partners jointly launched the Global BC Ecosystem Collaborative Innovation Center, aiming to accelerate the industrialization process of BC technology.
At the summit, Laplace New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Xingbei New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Jiangyin Haida New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. signed agreements to join LONGi's "Pathfinder Alliance Program". As key members of the BC ecosystem, they will collaborate with LONGi on joint R&D and production based on shared innovation objectives to achieve mutual benefits and shared success.

The implementation of these projects not only marks a significant expansion of the BC ecosystem but also represents a milestone in industrial innovation collaboration—jointly building the BC ecosystem and achieving shared success in the PV future.
At the event, Li Zhenguo, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of LONGi, issued a call to action: "Establish an open and sharing BC innovation ecosystem characterized by collaborative advancement, accelerating technology integration and commercialization to unleash the full innovative potential within the ecosystem."

Following years of rapid expansion, China's photovoltaic sector is now entering a new phase centered on "high-quality development" – transitioning from singular pursuit of scale and cost reduction toward comprehensive advancement in technological innovation, reliability, and environmental value.
BC technology, with its higher conversion efficiency, superior low-light response, and distinctive aesthetic value, is emerging as the key enabler driving this transformation.
However, BC technology constitutes a systematic engineering challenge—mastering this technology demands exceptional expertise. Similarly, BC technology's scaled deployment demands cross-value-chain collaboration, industry-academia-research synergy, and system innovation targeting efficiency, cost, and quality.
As a global leader in solar technology, LONGi was the first to initiate the construction of BC ecosystem, fostering an open, collaborative, and win-win innovation environment where it works with partners to co-innovate and achieve shared success.
l In 2023, LONGi officially launched its BC ecosystem initiative.
l In July 2024, LONGi established its Global Distributed R&D Center in Jiaxing and concurrently unveiled the "Partners +LONGi" collaborative innovation ecosystem framework. This further refined and solidified the BC value chain.
l In June 2025, at the SNEC exhibition, LONGi launched the "Pathfinder Alliance Program", further strengthening the foundation for collaborative innovation and mutual prosperity within the ecosystem.
Building on its past successes and the collaborative model, LONGi has established a comprehensive system featuring dedicated organizations, end-to-end processes, full lifecycle tracking, and a benefit-sharing mechanism. The company is committed to building an open innovation ecosystem centered on independent innovation, synergistic collaboration, intellectual property protection, and business safeguarding.

As of the end of May 2025, LONGi has conducted technical exchanges with 191 global ecosystem partners, secured 55 cooperation agreements with 44 partners, and completed 23 strategic technology deployments across the industrial chain. These span seven key fields: wafers, cells, modules, system solutions, hydrogen, biomass, and engineering technology.
At the Summit, representatives from BC ecosystem chain partners – Shenzhen Shijin Technology Co., Ltd., Baoshan Iron and Steel Company Limited, Shaanxi Xingbei New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Hangzhou Fumao New Materials Co., Ltd. – shared innovative cooperation case studies.
Moving forward, LONGi will devote more resources and efforts to drive progress through twin engines: collaborative innovation and ecosystem enhancement. This approach will enable partners to not only benefit from the projects themselves but also gain rewards derived from intellectual property protection. It will empower us to deliver more advanced and reliable solutions to our customers, while also providing the industry with a new model for collaborative innovation and ecosystem building.
