San Ramon, CA – LONGi, a global leader in solar technology and renewable energy solutions, has donated high-efficiency solar panels to power the Trinity Community Center, a new site in the Community Lighthouse network in New Orleans. Led by Together New Orleans, the Community Lighthouse project equips local churches and community institutions with solar-plus storage systems, enabling them to serve as resilience hubs during power outages and extreme weather events.

The donation will specifically power the Trinity Community Center, one of several sites being transformed into solar- and battery-powered resilience hubs. The donation reflects LONGi’s ongoing commitment to building a cleaner future by expanding access to renewable energy technology in underserved communities.

"At LONGi, we believe that solar energy should be accessible to all — not only for environmental progress, but as a lifeline in times of crisis," said Eric Luo, Group VP and President of North America at LONGi. "We are honored to support the Community Lighthouse project and stand with the people of New Orleans as they build a more resilient future."

New Orleans faces increasing weather-related challenges, with extended power outages following hurricanes highlighting the urgent need for distributed energy solutions. The Community Lighthouse model, launched in response to prolonged outages after Hurricane Ida. This project exemplifies the transformative potential of solar energy strengthening communities.

This donation is part of LONGi’s broader impact, prioritizing community-based clean energy initiatives and partnerships that foster long-term sustainability and resilience.
