At the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Terminal 5, LONGi Roof shines brilliantly atop the integrated transportation hub and parking facility, bringing a fresh wave of green energy to this modern terminal. With the application of renewable energy, the project effectively reduces operational costs, enhances the airport’s competitiveness, attracts more high-quality enterprises to settle in, and fosters an industrial cluster effect that drives rapid regional economic development.
The project has an installed capacity of approximately 1.5 MW and spans an area of 6,000 square meters. Over 25 years, it is expected to generate around 27.1658 million kWh of electricity and reduce carbon emissions by about 27,165.8 tons.
The application of BIPV provides clean power for the daily operations of Terminal 5, reducing dependence on conventional energy sources. This aligns perfectly with the “Green Airport” vision under the Four-Type Airport initiative, supporting the development of a low-energy-consumption, environmentally friendly terminal model. It also improves energy efficiency and contributes meaningfully to China’s dual-carbon goals.
