LONGi Solar, manufacturer of high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and modules and wholly-owned subsidiary of the largest supplier of monocrystalline silicon wafers, LONGi Group, announced today the company’s participation at the upcoming Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) Future of Energy Summit in New York City April 9 to 10. The Global Summit is the premier invitation-only forum for energy, industry, finance and policy, and attracts market leaders from across the world.

LONGi Solar’s top leadership across its regional and international markets and supply chain will be present at the international event. Ken Johnston, director of North American sales, LONGi Solar (US), will present on “Next Generation Solution of Solar and Renewable Energy” Monday, April 9 at 5:00 p.m. ET as part of The Future of Energy Summit program. Other notable attendees include Li Zhenguo, president and founder, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co Ltd; Zou Zonghai (Jack Zou), board member and senior vice president of sales and marketing, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co Ltd; Archie Flores, general manager, LONGi Solar (US); and Hongbin Fang, Ph.D., director of technical marketing, LONGi Solar.

LONGi Solar will host a workshop and dinner for investors, bankers, utilities, and partners across engineering, procurement and construction firms, alongside the Summit. During the workshop, which will be held April 9 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., LONGi Solar will launch their next generation solution and the company’s strategic partners DuPont and Sungrow will give presentations. LONGi Solar will also host a media meeting, April 9 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., for members of the press and research firms.

“Through LONGi Solar’s commitment to high quality and high-power density technology, the company continues to bring value to the entire solar supply chain,” said Li Zhenguo, president and founder of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co Ltd. “As solar competes more and more with fuels like natural gas and coal, it will increasingly be valued by its long-term contributions and system benefits, including levelized cost of energy (LCOE).”

The United States represents a target market for LONGi Solar with its vibrant economy of solar consumers and providers. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, the U.S. installed 10 gigawatts (GW) of solar in 2017 and has installed over 53 GW to date. As the economics to achieve grid parity with renewables constantly changes, LONGi Solar is helping combat market uncertainty for all solar stakeholders by improving the economics and reliability of solar through top-rate technological innovation, including monocrystalline silicon technology and bifacial modules.

Committing five to seven percent of its annual revenue to research and development, LONGi Solar develops technology that has the entire solar supply chain in mind and aims to develop solutions that, at their cores, offer the highest value for all stakeholders. LONGi Solar was recently awarded TUV Rheinland’s PV Module Energy Yield Simulation Award and announced that it had set a new world record for module efficiency, advancing the conversion efficiency record for monocrystalline PERC modules to 23.6 percent.
