【Medellin,Colombia | June 29th,2023】On June 28th and 29th in the city of Medellin, LONGi was present as a Global Partner at the sixth edition of Energyear Colombia, where it presented the new Hi-MO 7 module, a new member of the Hi-MO family based on the innovative HPDC cell technology for the Utility market.

On this occasion, the company held an exclusive pre-congress dinner at the Carmen Medellín restaurant (June 27th) to introduce the Colombian market to the benefits and advantages of this technology that LONGi recently launched at the 16th International Photovoltaic and Smart Exhibition (SNEC 2023) in Shanghai.

During the reception, Ivan Reyes, Head of Utility Mexico, Colombia & Caribbean, gave a warm welcome to the customers and reminded them that LONGi is a strategic partner in the development of their projects, and that its involvement and commitment goes beyond the supply of photovoltaic technology, now with the management of ESG criteria so that the environmental, social and governance impact of their solar parks exceeds expectations.

As Danilo Pacavita, Product & Solution Manager Mexico, Colombia & Caribbean, stressed during the launch event, Hi-MO 7 has been evaluated, developed, and tested for a long time. In addition to its high efficiency, it has world-leading product quality and long-term reliability, which significantly reduces the LCOE of large-scale PV projects.

The following day, LONGi kicked off its participation in Energyear Colombia, a congress that manages to transform networking time into the perfect opportunity to address the challenges and opportunities that the country presents in terms of sustainable development and energy transition.

In the Leaders' panel, What does Colombia need to do to get back on track to consolidate its energy transition, Ivan Reyes highlighted LONGi's efforts to decarbonise the company and use renewable energy sources in its factories. However, he stressed that LONGi seeks to go further at the local level, to implement sustainable development strategies at the Latin American level that directly impact the welfare of communities and the environment of the projects in which it is involved as a supplier, hand in hand with its customers. He also highlighted LONGi's experience in hybrid plants and hydrogen projects, which can contribute to the development of such projects locally.
