Xi'an,April 29, 2024 — LONGi unveiled its 2024 annual report, reporting annual revenue of CNY 82.582 billion. For Q1 2025, revenue reached CNY 13.652 billion. The company's HPBC 1.0 production line is being fully upgraded to N-type HPBC 2.0 technology, and now the cell operational lines have achieved a yield rate of around 97%. With accelerated BC capacity expansion in 2025—bolstered by economies of scale and continuous efficiency gains—LONGi aims to propel BC technology into a phase of large-scale adoption and ecosystem collaboration.

BC Ecosystem Takes Shape with 97% Cell Yield

In 2024, LONGi invested CNY 5.014 billion in R&D (6% of revenue) and held 3,342 authorized patents, including over 400 for BC cells and modules. The company has built a robust technological moat through breakthroughs in core areas like passivated contact technology.

LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 modules, with their industry-leading 97% yield rate and unmatched efficiency, are now being ordered and shipped at scale across China, Europe, the Middle East-Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America, driving the global transition to N-type high-efficiency solutions.

In 2024, the shipment volume of BC products exceeded 17GW. To meet the rapidly growing market demand, the company is accelerating the mass production and capacity upgrade of HPBC 2.0. By the end of 2025, the company expects HPBC 2.0 cell and module capacity to reach 50GW each.

As BC gains industry-wide recognition, leading module manufacturers began launching their own BC products in 2024, signaling commitments to the technology. Companies like GCL Group, Astronergy, Trina Solar, DAS Solar, and Huayao PV showcased BC modules at exhibitions, with Tongwei, JA Technology, and Gokin Solar joining the wave in 2025.

“LONGi and Aiko have proactively fortified their technological leadership through patents, exclusive supplier partnerships, and talent strategies,” said Li Zhenguo, founder and president of LONGi. “BC diffusion processes are now mature, avoiding the pitfalls seen in TOPCon’s rollout.”

BC Module Efficiency to Surpass 26% as Tech Momentum Builds

In 2025, LONGi aims to deliver 120GW of silicon wafer shipments and 80-90GW of module shipments, with BC modules accounting for over 25% of total output. Over the past decade, the company’s accumulated monocrystalline silicon wafer shipments has been the highest globally. In the past six years, its module shipment has consistently ranked among the top two.

In Q1 2025, LONGi shipped 23.46GW of wafers (11.26GW externally sold) and 16.93GW of modules (including 4.32GW of BC products). During the industry downturn, the company will strengthen inventory management, reduce inventory impairment losses, and achieve significant deficit reduction effectively.

It is reported that LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 module mass production efficiency is up to 24.8%, making it the globally most efficient mass-produced product. Currently, there is still a 2% efficiency gap between BC technology and its theoretical limit. Through ongoing optimizations, LONGi projects BC cell efficiency to reach 28.5% and module efficiency over 26% within 3-5 years.

“BC technology is now about 80% mature, with major bottlenecks resolved, enabling full-scale industry adoption,” Li noted. “2025 marks the ramp-up phase, but BC’s true impact will emerge in 2026 and beyond, growing stronger each year.”
