Mandalay, Myanmar | 22 May 2026 – LONGi, a world-leading solar technology company, proudly announces that its high-efficiency PV modules Hi-MO 9 have been deployed in the 55MW PV + 20MW/40MWh Hazar Solar Energy Project and 55MW PV + 20MW/40MWh Leader Power Energy Project – the largest solar-plus-storage power base in Myanmar.
The Hi-MO 9 series, built on advanced HPBC 2.0 cell technology, delivers a module efficiency of up to 24.8% and excellent power temperature coefficient. Under Myanmar’s harsh operating conditions — with temperatures often exceeding 40°C and prolonged dry seasons — Hi-MO 9 modules maintain higher power generation yields and lower degradation rates compared to conventional technologies. Their superior reliability and resistance to extreme heat make them an ideal choice for large-scale utility projects in tropical and subtropical regions.
The project achieved commercial operation after only seven days of testing and commissioning, setting a new benchmark for rapid renewable energy deployment in Southeast Asia. LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 modules play a key role in ensuring stable and efficient power generation under challenging local conditions.
With grid-forming capabilities and black-start readiness enabled by the overall system, the project will significantly enhance local power supply reliability and support a diversified energy mix for Myanmar.
