Technical Highlights
Due to the challenges of installing PV modules on semi-circular curved surfaces, the LONGi Central team proposed a “slope-following installation” approach. The R&D team developed a T-type metal roof panel specifically designed to adapt to curved surfaces with PVs. Through precision connection techniques, the modules perfectly conform to the curved roof, ensuring both the safety of the PV system and the demanding installation accuracy required for curved surfaces. Designed specifically for industrial and commercial rooftops, LONGi’s green energy building materials combine four core values: safety and reliability, high power generation efficiency, steady returns, and worry-free operation. Rigorously tested, the product is leak-proof, corrosion-resistant, fire-retardant, typhoon-resistant, and boasts excellent anti-degradation performance—ensuring a 25-year lifespan that matches that of the roof itself.

Project Highlights

As China’s dual-carbon goals and carbon emission control targets continue to deepen, carbon management has become one of the key challenges for the steel industry. In pursuit of breakthroughs amid this carbon dilemma, many steel enterprises have embarked on the journey toward carbon neutrality. Shaanxi Longmen Iron & Steel has responded to the national call by installing a LONGi BIPV solar power station on the curved roofs of its B-type stockyard and C-type material warehouse.

With an installed capacity of 8.73 MW and operating under a “self-generation for full self-consumption” model, the project generates approximately 9.11 million kWh of electricity annually. This equates to saving 2,748.6 tons of standard coal per year, reducing CO₂ emissions by 7,548.48 tons, SO₂ emissions by 0.92 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 1.38 tons annually.

The installation of this solar power station not only revitalizes state-owned assets and significantly reduces electricity costs, but also enables the enterprise to present a strong green transformation response in the era of carbon neutrality.
