The PERC cell conversion efficiency of LONGi Solar monocrystalline module has reached up to 23.26%.

LONGi Solar received the test report from National Center of Supervision and Inspection on Solar PV Products Quality (CPVT) on Oct. 27, 2017. According to this report, the PERC cell conversion efficiency of LONGi Solar monocrystalline module has reached up to 23.26%. 

As shown in the efficiency roadmap, it is widely believed that the maximum production efficiency of PERC cell is about 23%, therefore, the efficiency record always stays around 23% or below for a long period of time and the related technical research and development personnel are targeted at breaking through 23%. 

With 23.26% efficiency, it means that LONGi Solar has surpassed the world record again within 10 days after it released 22.71% efficiency on Oct. 17, moreover, LONGi Solar has broken through the PERC cell efficiency bottleneck (namely, 23%). It not only embodies that LONGi Solar has the world leading level, but also means that monocrystalline PERC technology has the huge potential to improve its efficiency, therefore, the above-mentioned cell is a milestone. 

"The new efficiency record is realized by applying the mass-produced cell to optimize its technical means on the basis of the large-area P-type monocrystalline wafers, as a result, we have not only surpassed the world record again, but also enhanced the cell efficiency by a large margin within short period, in such case, the whole industry will reinforce their confidence in the monocrystalline PERC and have high expectations for the future of PERC cell products."

On Oct. 17, 2017, Fraunhofer ISE CalLab certified that the conversion efficiency of monocrystalline PERC cell produced by LONGi Solar reached up to 22.71%, breaking through the world record of PERC cell.
